Calvin Vollrath inspired me to make tunes when he said “Music is just a bunch of notes going up and down”. A revelation.
This collection went from rough form in a binder on my kitchen table to this book you hold in your hand, with the help of Ann Schau and Karen McIvor. Thanks to both Ann and Karen for many of the accompanying chords. And thanks to all those musicians, near and far, who have played music with me over the years.
Thanks also to all the tunes that inspired me to write unintentional variations!
